Russian CEFR A1/A2 > A2
The Russian language courses of the University of Groningen Language Centre focus mainly on speaking and understanding Russian. Level A1/A2 > A2 is for participants who have taken the Level A1 > A1/A2 Russian course at the Language Centre or who have reached a comparable level of proficiency. Participants in the A1/A2 > A2 course are expected to be able to read and write Cyrillic.
Participants will learn to read and speak in Russian and communicate about everyday subjects such as working, eating and drinking and hobbies. Grammar is not a goal in itself, but will be used to support language acquisition. You will also be introduced to several cultural aspects of Russia.
Language of Instruction
The target language is the language of instruction as much as possible. The course is taught in Dutch and/or English. Russian courses are open to native and non-native speakers of Dutch. The course material is in Dutch and English.
This course will be taught as an online interactive group course via Blackboard Collaborate; our online classroom for the coming period! One lesson lasts 90 minutes. Per lesson you should count on 4-6 hours of self-study. This course consists of 7 lessons in total. The lessons take place once every 2 weeks.
Read here everything you can expect from an online language course.
If you want to register and you have not previously taken a Russian course at the Language Centre, we advise you to visit the office hour to discuss with a teacher which course would suit you best, but this is not mandatory. Please note that you can already register for the course you are interested in. The office hour is held via Blackboard Collaborate.
Office hours only take place in the period before the start of the course. If office hours are scheduled, you can make your appointment here.
The course material is not included in the course fee and is not available at the Language Centre.

At the end of a course, every participant will receive an attendance certificate on condition that they have attended 75% of the lessons.
