Crossing Borders.. from home
The course that allows you to study abroad from home, Crossing Borders... from home (CB0), gives you an opportunity to explore different cultures, learn more about your own and develop intercultural competence without needing the hassle of visa’s, inoculations and jet lag! You will take both a deep and a broad approach to crossing borders – explore one culture in depth, and travel broadly exploring multiple cultures. Though it is less discomforting than actual travel can be, moving outside your comfort zone remains a part of your journey!
Duration and Workload
CB0 is approximately a one-semester (14-week) course with a workload of approximately 140 hours; the equivalent of 5 ECTS.
CB0 will start in September 2020 and February 2021. Shortly before the start you will receive a message about the activation of your account. After activation you will have access to the online course for 6 months.
The Crossing Borders…from home course incorporates parts of the Crossing Borders 1,2,3 courses and supplements a local and virtual exploration of cultural difference to develop intercultural competence. It is not advisable to follow this new module in addition to the three interrelated Crossing Borders 1, 2 and 3 courses. There will be a certain degree of overlap.
