Crossing Borders 2: Abroad
This Crossing Borders: Abroad (CB2) course is to be followed on location. The course will challenge you to engage more deeply with the culture that you are experiencing around you. Using a combination of explicit assignments and reflections on your own experiences, you are encouraged to observe things more perceptively, to make more connections, to question your assumptions and to move outside your comfort zone, intentionally developing your intercultural competences. The semester long theme of humour will deepen your understanding of this most subtle and intractable of intercultural phenomena.
Duration and Workload
CB2 is approximately a one-semester (14-week) course with a workload of approximately 84 hours; the equivalent of 3 ECTS.
CB2 will start in September 2020 and February 2021. Shortly before the start you will receive a message about the activation of your account. After activation you will have access to the online course for 6 months.
