German CEFR B1/B2 > B2

The German language courses of the University of Groningen Language Centre focus on speaking and understanding German in everyday situations that you might come across in Germany. A German language course can help you to update your half-forgotten skills or to expand your existing skills.

German level B1/B2 > B2 is for participants who have taken the German course B1 > B1/B2 or have a similar level.  You are able to understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. and to deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.  You can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

This course will be taught as an online interactive group course via Blackboard Collaborate; our online classroom for the coming period! One lesson lasts 90 minutes. Per lesson you should count on 2-3 hours of self-study. Read here everything you can expect from an online language course.

Language of Instruction
The target language is the language of instruction as much as possible. When necessary, the course is taught in Dutch and/or English.

German Office Hour
If you want to register and you have not previously taken a German course at the Language Centre, we advise you to visit the office hour to discuss with a teacher which course would suit you best, but this is not mandatory. Please note that you can already register for the course you are interested in. The office hour is by appointment only and takes place shortly before the start of the courses. Once we have scheduled the office hours you can book your appointment online here.

Test your language level online
You can also determine your starting level of a language training online and in your own time with the placement test. This test gives a global indication of your level for your own reference, for a more personal advice visit our office hour.
